A traffic island is an ideal means of separating traffic flows in high-risk places, such as pedestrian or bicycle crossings, and to increase the safety of all road users.

However, it is not always possible to free up sufficient space for a traditional traffic island, certainly not in existing traffic situations or within densely populated areas. Other traffic lane separators are on the other hand often too low and too susceptible to damage from collision to offer an viable option.

Our modular mini traffic island, with a width of just 50 cm and a height of 13 cm, offers in most cases a good alternative. It can be easily installed with the desired length and neatly finished with the rounded end elements. In addition, the reflective markings ensure good visibility, which is further enhanced by the placement of an optional glass kerb marker at the head of the island.

The rounded end elements offer the option of installing fixed or flexible traffic columns for clear signage.

The placement of the mini refuge is simple. It can be attached to any surface with bolts and plugs or with concrete anchors, without the need for specialized tools. The elements are perfectly manageable by one person and do not require lifting equipment.

In short, our modular mini traffic island is in many cases a practical and affordable solution for safer traffic
